PhotoBucket: Your Images for Sale from Jonathan Bailey on Vimeo.
Back at the very beginning of this year (January 1st to be precise) I first contacted Jonathan Bailey of Plagiarism Today regarding what to do about my works being made available for sale on PhotoBucket without my consent or knowledge or even being a member of PhotoBucket - Jonathan was very helpful and together we launched a petition to make the art community aware of this problem and to call for reform of practices by PhotoBucket Administrators. When made aware of this petition, PhotoBucket did not respond favorably.
We all had other matters to attend to at that time, and so the matter was set aside for a time but never forgotten - this new video is “Round Two” in the effort to bring attention to this issue and hopefully educate PhotoBucket users (and others) as to what they can do to make a difference. This 9-minute video created by Jonathan Bailey illustrates one of the key issues - the unauthorized printing of content without the consent of the original copyright holder, as well as offering suggestions and alternative hosting services to try.
